Are Government Thugs on the Way?

During the 1916-1921 War of Independence in Ireland, the British brought in heavily armed goon squads of thugs and criminals, the sweepings of the British military and police, to terrorize the Irish countryside and try to undermine the IRA.



One news article reports: “The Marine Corps has created its first law enforcement battalions – a lean, specialized force of military police officers that it hopes can quickly deploy worldwide to help investigate crimes from terrorism to drug trafficking and train fledgling security forces in allied nations.”

“The Corps activated three such battalions last month. Each is made up of roughly 500 military police officers and dozens of dogs….The idea behind the law enforcement battalions is to consolidate the military police and capitalize on their investigative skills and police training. The new additions come as every branch in the military is trying to show its flexibility and resourcefulness amid defense cuts.”

“Marines have been increasingly taking on the role of a street cop along with their combat duties over the past decade in Iraq and Afghanistan, where they have been in charge of training both countries’ security forces. Those skills now can be used as a permanent part of the Marine Corps…”

The American government has for years been militarizing police forces around the country, and not where you’d think, in the big cities where the crime and the minorities are, but out in the hinterland, in “flyover country,” rural swaths of America that are still largely White. Why on earth does Deputy Barney Fife in Ellensburg, Washington or Elk River, Idaho need armored cars, body armor, fully automatic weapons, and training on army bases by Special Forces instructors?

It looks as though the régime doesn’t even trust its local cops, and now they are creating special military units for “policing duties.”

Our government wants to make sure it maintains control even in the aftermath of a nuclear war, and so they’re making sure that even rural areas are under the iron heel of the federal government. This all started decades ago with Ruby Ridge and Waco. The Feds backed off for a while after a public backlash over these federal atrocities, but they still have their eyes on rural America. This is why we need to cause a serious change in our government. The Tea Party is only the beginning if we want to regain some control.
